After my previous D600-D700 shadow recovery examples some suggested a more extreme dynamic range would better show off the D600’s superior performance. I saw this scene and thought it might do nicely. Shadow recovery required in Lightroom 4 used +1.5 EV of exposure compensation, +100 in shadow recovery, with -100 highlight adjustment to bring highlights back in line. The selected crop shows which of these cameras produces more noise, even when shot at base ISO.
