Yesterday I showed my selections for the W show. Today I want to show you briefly how I planned my layout, and how it worked out. With the help of a good friend and my wife, I measured out the two panel walls I would have at the show, and arranged my selected photos on the floor, moving then around until I was happy with the overall scheme.
I took printouts of these layouts, and in fairly short order I was able to hang all my pieces with a few minor adjustments.

On the second day of the show I ended up adding a couple of pieces, one by request, and the other because I couldn’t resist showing another of my large panoramas.

Overall I had a very enjoyable time, discussing background details of my photography with all who came to my booth, as well as sharing a lovely time with the other artists in the exhibit.

Thanks, Marie, for encouraging me to participate. It was great to interact with all the folks coming through. Hopefully this will be a strong step along the path of establishing long-term artist/artist-lover relationships.
