• Sagrada Familia’s Passion

A while back I posted photos of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain. While there, I was drawn to a statue depicting Christ carrying his cross. I processed these in black and white to accentuate form and texture.

  • Back to Gaudi’s Barcelona

I love photography’s ability to freeze moments, then allow us to go back, in this case, back to Barcelona where I visited and enjoyed the sites a couple of months ago. Here are some photos I took while there of the sentinels on Casa Milà’s roof, processed for B&W with my new B&W tool.

  • Sagrada Familia interior

The Sagrada Familia cathedral is just as impressive — if not more so — inside than it is outside. Here are some shots I took during my Barcelona visit. Once more, I took these with my Nikon D7000 and Sigma 8-16 lens.

  • Sagrada Familia facade

While visiting Barcelona, we had a chance to visit Gaudi’s last great work, Sagrada Familia. Here are some photos of the front facade.

  • A gothic Barcelona wedding

While visiting Santa Maria del Mar, expecting to take in some of the gothic architecuture, I ended up taking a handful of shots of a gothic Barcelona wedding. Though I had none of my usual wedding lenses — only the Sigma 8-16 — I still managed to capture a couple of nice moments.

    Celebration

Once the joyous occasion wrapped up and things settled inside the church, I had plenty of time to photograph the wonderful, yet austere and simple gothic architecture.

  • D7000 and Sigma 8-16 vacation

Just got back from a vacation when I had a chance to put my Nikon D7000 and Sigma 8-16 to a bit of a test. I also took the Nikkor 16-85 along, but the Sigma 8-16 was by far the funnest to shoot. Here are two photos from Montjuïc Castelle, Barcelona.
